On Wednesday, December 6th, SOM Associate Andrew Makin will join a panel discussion on Capitol Crossing, a 2.2-million-square-foot complex underway in Washington, D.C. In addition to designing the master plan for the project, SOM is providing an array of services, including architecture, structural and civil engineering, and sustainable design. The panel discussion will focus on the process of bringing a project of such scope to fruition, and the challenges presented by its scale.
Makin will speak with Bob Braunohler and Sean Cahill of Property Group Partners, Rebecca Nordby of Balfour Beatty Construction, and Christine Shiker of Holland & Knight. The event, hosted by the Washington chapter of the Urban Land Institute, also includes a site tour and a reception.
This event is open to ULI members.
