Nex Tower has been selected as a Best Green Development award winner in the 2019 MIPIM Asia Awards. The program recognizes excellence in architecture and real estate in the Asia Pacific region each year. The Best Green Development award honors projects that achieve high levels of sustainability.
The tower, which is certified LEED Platinum, was designed to enhance the public realm, with sustainability at the heart of the endeavor. The public lobby provides a vital pedestrian link between two thoroughfares in Makati, and is highlighted by an 11-meter, hydroponic green wall. The green wall acts as a simultaneous sustainability and wellness feature, filtering air and carrying natural elements and soft light through the lobby.
