On Tuesday, April 9th, Senior Consulting Design Partner Craig Hartman, FAIA, will present during the opening of Salone del Mobile, Milan’s annual design week. The lecture, sponsored by Abitare magazine, will be held at Casa Corriere.
During his talk, titled “Designing Global Cities for a Shrinking Planet,” Hartman will discuss the innovations he and his SOM colleagues pursue in designing landmark urban architecture and global cities, and how this work responds to climate change, population growth, and dwindling non-renewable resources. He will also illustrate SOM’s integrated, interdisciplinary approach to city design, architecture, and interiors in addressing the global environmental and social challenges of our era.
