Eric Keune and Mayor Rahm Emanuel Discuss the Chicago Picasso’s 50th Anniversary

Eric Keune: …And so Bill Hartmann goes over there with a $100,000 check in his pocket and presents it to [Picasso] and says, We can never repay you for what you’ve done, and it’s so great, and we’re so excitedWill you accept this as a thank you from the city for all your hard work? And [Picasso] takes the check and looks at it and says, No, and he gives it back, and he says, This is my gift to the people of Chicago, now and forever.
