Three SOM experts will speak at the Facades+ Conference, which will take place April 24-25, 2014, in New York City. Keith Boswell, SOM Technical Architecture Director, will lead the workshop “Structural Glass Standard: The Need, the Philosophy, and the Direction.” Among the many topics explored, the seminar will look at how the American Society for Testing and Materials is facilitating the structural glass designs of tomorrow.
Teresa Rainey, SOM Director of High Performance Design, and Christoph Timm, SOM Associate, will lead the workshop “Facade Metrics and Resilience: Real Life Differences During Times of Crisis.” The seminar will examine how to design resilient buildings for an uncertain future. Both workshops are scheduled for Friday, April 25.
