On Wednesday, November 4th, SOM Associate Director T. Nathaniel Broughton will moderate a panel titled “A Careful Balancing Act: The Reduction of Energy Consumption in School Cafeterias while Supporting Nutrition and Mental Health for NYC Students.” The panel will focus on how designers can help reduce energy use in schools in New York City while providing a source for hot meals and benefitting mental health.
Broughton will be joined on the panel by Karen Karp, President of Karen Karp & Partners; Jeffery Rios, Partner at AKF; Elizabeth Liu, MPA; and Dina Sorensen, Co-Chair of the AIA Committee on Architecture for Education, Research Subcommittee.
