On Thursday, June 13th, Director of Urban Planning and Design Thomas Hussey will present on the new transit-oriented development, The 78, at the AIA Chicago seminar, "The Future of Chicago's Skyline." Joined by Michael Pfeffer, Vice President of Architecture at Related Midwest, Hussey will share insight on the design and development of the site.
The 78 establishes a dynamic new mixed-use neighborhood on 62 acres of current brownfield space. Located at the convergence of many of Chicago’s most vibrant, diverse communities—the South Loop, Chinatown, Pilsen, Little Italy, and Bronzeville, to name a few—The 78 envisions a neighborhood imbued with Chicago’s culture and history, blending seamlessly with the communities it borders.
The event is hosted by CCHRB, AIA Chicago, CTBUH, UL, and BOMA Chicago.
