The Moscone Center Expansion has been recognized as a 2018 Real Estate Deal of the Year by the San Francisco Business Times. The project, which opened in January 2019, was designed by SOM with Mark Cavagnero Associates. It was recognized for its functional and adaptable design, aesthetic integration with the surrounding neighborhood, and increasing economic impact on the city.
The Real Estate Deals of the Year Awards recognize innovative, challenging real estate projects in the Bay Area. This year, 33 transactions, projects, and people were distinguished in categories like Real Estate Deal of the Year, Dealmaker of the Year, and Broker of the Year.
