Roche Diagnostics Suzhou has been named a “Best Innovative Green Building” in the MIPIM Asia Awards. The awards program recognizes exemplary projects in the property industry across the Asia Pacific region. The winning project will be celebrated alongside other nominees at the MIPIM Asia Awards gala on Wednesday, November 28th in Hong Kong.
Roche Diagnostics Suzhou is a 10-building, 150,000-square-meter campus in the World Heritage City of Suzhou, China. The first manufacturing facility in China for the Swiss-based medical diagnostics company, the campus represents the completion of a Global Master Plan and Architectural Design effort by SOM. The campus responds to the local environment through a series of high-performance strategies and design features. Its LEED® Platinum-certified administrative building includes a high-performance envelope using recycled and regionally sourced materials, and onsite renewable energy, and supports a 100 percent reduction in potable water use.
