On Wednesday, March 10th, Mina Hasman will moderate a discussion to launch the latest publication by Derek Clements-Croome, Designing Buildings for People. Published by Crowood Press, the book considers how the built environment can uplift our mood and improve well-being, and explores how these outcomes can be achieved in practice.
The panel will explore new approaches to the field of technology and bio-architecture and also question current decision-making processes. SOM projects will be discussed as case studies, highlighting fresh ideas in health, well-being, and sustainability.
The discussion will include author Derek Clements-Croome and other guests: George Adams at SPIE; Neil Pennell at Landsec; Patrick Bellew at Atelier Ten; Joyce Chan-Schoof at Parliament; Husam Hussein at Dundee University; and Tong Yang at Middlesex University. The event is hosted by the CIBSE Intelligent Buildings Group & CIB W098 Commission On Intelligent & Responsive Buildings.
