Mina Hasman Joins UKGBC Board of Trustees

The UK Green Building Council (UKGBC) has appointed Associate Mina Hasman to its board of trustees. Hasman’s appointment, by the current board of the UKGBC, reflects the organization’s efforts to include the industry leaders of the future in the highest level of its governance; each year, one alumnus of the UKGBC’s Future Leaders program is invited to join the board. Hasman will serve a two-year term as a board member.

In 2018, Hasman was selected to join the UKGBC’s Future Leaders program. The prestigious program serves as a forum for emerging leaders in the building industry to find solutions to pressing social and environmental challenges. Throughout the course of the nine-month program, Hasman’s group focused on sustainable strategies for design in the face of major demographic and climatic change.

“I am very pleased to welcome Mina to the UKGBC Board of Trustees,” said David Partridge, chairman of the board at UKGBC and a senior partner at Argent LLP. “She is actively involved with a wide range of excellent sustainability initiatives across the built environment industry and she will be a great asset to the board.” Said Hasman, “I am honored to be appointed to the UKGBC Board of Trustees, and to help shape the future of our industry—in a collective, innovative and impactful manner—against the volatility faced in our world.”

Based in SOM’s London office, Hasman works with interdisciplinary teams to develop and test new design approaches and apply them in complex projects around the world. She integrates multi-disciplinary research and emerging digital technologies to deliver sustainable design solutions that yield longterm environmental, societal, and cost benefits. Hasman contributes her expertise widely to professional organizations, academic institutions, and international conferences.
