Luke Leung Appointed to ASHRAE Environmental Health Committee

SOM Director of Sustainable Engineering Luke Leung has been appointed to the Environmental Health Committee of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), effective July, 2017. Leung will serve a three-year term, from July 1st, 2017, through June 30th, 2020.

The Environmental Health Committee coordinates ASHRAE activities in the areas of environmental health and indoor air quality. The committee conducts research and publishes regular reports on emerging issues, including ventilation and humidity control, and proposed improvements to indoor air chemistry and management systems.

Leung is actively involved with numerous ASHRAE initiatives. He serves as a member of ASHRAE's Distinguished Lecturer Program, as a member of the editorial team for ASHRAE handbooks on tall buildings, and as an adviser on ASHRAE sustainability legislation.
