On Thursday, February 21st, SOM Design Partner Kent Jackson will speak at an international forum titled "Vivienda de Interés Social y Arquitectura: Una Oportunidad de Transformación Colectiva" ("Housing of Social Interest and Architecture: An Opportunity for Collective Transformation") at Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia. Jackson, a Design Partner based in SOM's London office, will discuss approaches to designing people-focused and sustainable residential developments in cities around the world. In his presentation, titled "A New Housing Challenge," he will share insight on how new technologies and disruptors will facilitate innovative approaches to housing design in the future. Jackson will be joined by other international architects as well as academics, district planning authorities, and municipal officials. The forum is hosted by Universidad de los Andes, Ingeurbe, and Compensar.
