On Tuesday, January 26th, Associate Director and Global K-12 Practice Leader Jon Cicconi will speak in a webinar titled “A smarter classroom: learning lessons from COVID-19,” hosted by Frame Magazine. Cicconi recently led the design of School/House, a ventilated, high-ceilinged, pop-up classroom for schools in need of temporary accommodation due to COVID-19.
Prolonged COVID-19 school closures will leave many children without access to a dedicated learning environment for longer than a year. The webinar will focus on what this enforced separation has taught us about the role of spatial design in education, and how this can be applied to ensure that future schools are more resilient, inspiring, and inclusive.
Cicconi will be joined by Robert Thiemann, Editorial Director of Frame, and Pallavi Dean, Founder and Creative Director of Roar, an architecture and interior design studio in Dubai.
