On Thursday, March 15th, SOM Director Jed Zimmerman will participate in a panel and roundtable discussion titled "The Inside Track on SOCAL Projects." The event is hosted by the Los Angeles Headquarters Association (LAHq) and centers on an exploration of current and recent projects from the perspective of area architects.
Zimmerman will discuss several completed SOM-designed projects, including the New United States Courthouse in Los Angeles, Pen Factory and Awesomeness in Santa Monica, and Sunset La Cienega Residences in West Hollywood. He will also discuss projects in construction and development, including the Long Beach Civic Center, 1111 Sunset, and Loyola Marymount University's School of Film and Television and School of Communications and Fine Arts.
Created in 1961 to help Los Angeles become a major world city, the LAHq comprises more than 450 members representing more than 150 companies. The association has assisted various businesses open headquarters in the greater Los Angeles area.
