SOM Design Director Javier Arizmendi has been named to the Honorary Jury for the CEMEX Building Award. Arizmendi will begin his participation as a Guest Jury member in 2016, and will serve on the Honorary Jury throughout the 2017-2019 awards seasons.
The CEMEX Building Award, now in its 25th year, was created by CEMEX, a multinational building materials company headquartered in Monterrey, Mexico. The program seeks to distinguish the best in architecture and construction from around the world, to encourage creative applications of new concrete technologies in projects with a high sense of sustainability and social well-being, and to foster a global exchange of ideas within the construction industry.
