SOM Design Partner Gary Haney has been appointed as chair of the Board of Trustees at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. He will begin a three-year term as chair on October 1, 2015. Having served nine years as a trustee, Haney has advanced efforts to raise the national profile of the Museum.
The National Building Museum is America’s leading cultural institution dedicated to advancing the quality of the built environment by educating people about its impact on their lives. Chartered by the U.S. Congress in 1980, the Museum presents exhibitions, lectures, and awards that recognize leaders in architecture, historic preservation, and urban design.
