Christ Hospital Unveils Multimillion-Dollar Medical Center

The 355,000-square-foot center, which is the focal point of a $280 million expansion at its Mount Auburn campus, will be dedicated to orthopedic and neurosurgical spine care, joint replacement, sports medicine and rehabilitation services. It will add 12 operating rooms to the existing 38 at the hospital.

The 87 private rooms for patients, which encompass 350 square feet, were designed with large windows to allow in sunlight to promote healing.

“We want to transform orthopedic and neurosurgical spine care, sports medicine and all of those services with new technologies, new procedures and new ways of doing things through some evidence-based protocols and engaging in research,” said Herb Caillouet, executive director of the Joint and Spine Center.
