On July 31, Consulting Partner Bill Baker will speak at the Intercollegiate Engineering Alliance conference. The world's largest student engineering conference, the two-day summit of talks and networking events features world-class speakers and students from across the globe. This year's theme is "Pioneers: Engineering the Next Decade".
Baker will examine how design and methods of construction have changed over the past 20 years with a view to exploring how these might develop over the next decade, contextualized with examples from his vast wealth of experience, from designing the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, to NATO’s headquarters, and more. The talk will explore the role of megastructures in the society of the future and the ways in which the industry is evolving to meet the world’s structural needs.
The Intercollegiate Engineering Alliance brings together university students studying engineering from across the world for mutual benefit, taking advantage of the new digital way of life by sharing events run by the alliance members and running free events.
