Engineering The World's Tallest Building
The goal of the Burj Khalifa is not simply to be the world’s tallest building; it is to embody the world’s highest aspirations. The 3-million-square-foot reinforced concrete skyscraper is utilized for retail, residential, and office space, along with a Giorgio Armani Hotel. As with all super-tall projects, difficult structural engineering problems needed to be addressed and resolved. This paper presents the structural system for the Burj Khalifa.
