SOM Journal 3 is the third issue in a continuing series presenting the work of one of the world’s foremost design firms, SOM, in the context of a critical discussion. The process of review by a jury comprised of leading figures from the worlds of art, architecture, and engineering, during which projects are evaluated critically, is a daring enterprise unique to SOM and illustrates the firm’s commitment to excellence and innovation. This jury was held at the DZ Bank in Berlin, Germany, on July 7, 2003.
