When property management firm Metropolis Investment Holdings (formally Sunbelt) decided to relocate its headquarters from Florida to Chicago’s NBC Tower, they hired SOM — the tower’s original architect — to create an elegant and efficient office space. In response to the client's request for a monochromatic color scheme, the SOM team chose a minimal palette of glass and steel, unifying engineering with art through expertly crafted details. The use of color was employed only in the entryway, where a bold red wall leads visitors into the refined space.
