On Saturday, October 5th, Associate Director Vram Malek presented a lecture at the AIA Continental Europe Conference in Brussels. Malek discussed SOM's NATO Headquarters project in relation to the impact of changing global forces on both the development of longterm architectural projects and the architectural profession.
AIA Europe's international conference series provides an in-depth look at the most important projects developing across Europe today. The biannual event focuses on a different European city at each meeting, offering an opportunity for attendees from around the world to explore how industry professionals are working collaboratively to build better urban environments. Over three-and-a-half days of site visits, lectures and tours, local architects, planners and government officials come together to present their city's latest projects and goals.
