On Tuesday, April 19th, New York City's first net-zero-energy school will open its doors for an exclusive tour organized by the Urban Green Council. Located in Staten Island, the Kathleen Grimm School for Leadership and Sustainability at Sandy Ground is designed to harvest as much energy as it consumes on an annual basis. During the tour, Caroline Yu, Senior Architectural Professional at SOM, and Jeffrey Rios, Engineer at In Posse, will speak about the range of sustainable features that will allow the school to meet its net-zero-energy goal.

The event is open to both Urban Green Council members and the general public. Bus transportation to the school will be provided from Manhattan's Union Square.
