Engineering-News Record California has recognized The Strand in its Best Projects 2015 awards program. Designed by SOM, the project won an Award of Merit in the Renovation/Restoration category of the regional awards, which were selected by juries made up of prominent local industry professionals. Winners will be recognized at a breakfast event on December 3rd, 2015, in San Francisco.
The Strand renovation project resurrected a 100-year-old derelict movie theater on San Francisco’s Market Street to provide a highly visible and experimental performance space for the city’s preeminent theater company, American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.).
