On Friday, April 26th, Mina Hasman will speak on a panel at the annual conference of the Association of Architectural Educators. The conference, which is currently in its fifth year, focuses on the theme of "Learning Through Practice."
The conference brings educators, researchers, and architectural practitioners together to discuss issues in architectural education, including historical approaches, alternative models, the value of studio-based practice, and ethics. Along with discussion panels and lectures, the conference will include the presentation of peer reviewed papers and reports.
Hasman, an architect based in SOM’s London office, will speak on a panel titled "Ethics and Sustainability in Architectural Education?" As the lead on sustainability and wellness initiatives for the London office, Hasman works with interdisciplinary teams to develop and test new design approaches, and apply them in projects around the world. She contributes her expertise widely to professional organizations, academic institutions, and international conferences. Mina was selected as a 2018 Future Leader by the UK Green Building Council, and she serves on the RIBA Expert Advisory Group of Sustainable Futures.
