Stephen Ray Speaks at ASHRAE Houston Chapter

On Wednesday, April 17th, mechanical engineer Stephen Ray spoke at the Houston chapter of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). In a presentation titled “21st-Century Tall Building Design,” Ray focused on the impact climate and changing air contaminants have on tall buildings. 

Based in SOM’s Chicago office, Ray is an expert in sustainability and high performance design. He works closely with designers across disciplines to align the firm’s projects with the highest standards of performance and energy use. Ray has published 27 academic peer-reviewed articles on diverse subjects, including internal air quality, sustainability, and high performance skyscraper design.
