Six SOM projects have won American Architectural Awards, which recognize exemplary work in architecture, interiors, landscape, and urban planning in the United States and abroad. The awards program is organized by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design in partnership with Metropolitan Arts Press and the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies??. According to the organizers, “the program pays tribute to new developments in design and underscores the directions and understanding of current cutting-edge processes consistent with today’s design thinking.”
