SOM Director Scott Duncan recently presented at the 8th Ultra High-Rise Building Summit in Shanghai. Duncan spoke specifically about Pertamina Energy Tower, a net-zero skyscraper slated to rise in Jakarta, Indonesia. The presentation was part of a session titled “Master Show,” which focused on the future of supertall building design and planning.
Held annually, the Ultra High-Rise Building summit brings together architects, engineers, urbanists, and business leaders for a series of events, lectures, and workshops. This year, topics ranged from parametric design and technical management of supertall buildings to legal and business reforms affecting China’s commercial real estate industry.
