The Urban Land Institute (ULI) has named Optimo Hat Company and the Taylor Street Apartments and Little Italy Branch Library as 2019 ULI Chicago Vision Awards recipients. The two projects were among six total "Project Category" winners.
Interior Design magazine highlighted the Optimo Hat Company in its coverage of the annual IIDA Interior Design Competition. The SOM-designed conversion of a historic firehouse into the factory and headquarters for the Chicago-based hat maker was named one of five winners in the awards program.
