The Chicago chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) honored three SOM projects—AMIE 1.0; the Chinatown Branch of the Chicago Public Library; and Dallas City Performance Hall—in the 2017 Design Excellence Awards. The awards were presented on October 13th, 2017.

The SOM-designed Dallas City Performance Hall has won the Good Design is Good Business Award from Architectural Record. Conceived as a “village for the arts,” the building is home to dozens of theater, music, and dance companies.
