SOM fondly remembers Robert Lewis Turner, a former SOM Design Partner who passed away on October 12, 2014. A talented designer and leader, Turner played an instrumental role in SOM projects around the world.
Former SOM Partner Robert Turner was honored by his alma mater, Virginia Tech, with the University Distinguished Achievement Award for 2014. The award was bestowed at University Commencement earlier this month.
Philip Enquist, SOM Partner in Charge of Urban Design and Planning, has been named the sixteenth UT-Oak Ridge National Laboratory Governor’s Chair. Enquist and a select research team will serve as Governor’s Chair for High Performance Energy Practices in Urban Environments and will be affiliated with and administer projects through the UT College of Architecture and Design.
