On October 3rd and 4th, 2018, SOM Associate Mina Hasman will speak at the Dubai Cityscape Conference. Hasman, a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Commission on Ethics and Sustainable Development, will discuss the social value of sustainable design. Alasdair Ben Dixon, a fellow member of the RIBA commission, will speak with Hasman.
In the first of the presentations, titled “Delivering Social Value for the Built Environment,” Hasman and Dixon will offer an overview of social value and its impact on communities and the environment. The two will share insight on ?the vital role stakeholders play in determining project goals for achieving social value in built projects. In the second presentation, titled “Unlocking Social Value at Every Scale,” Hasman and Dixon will explore case studies of projects that have successfully resulted in added social value.
