Luke Leung, SOM Director of Sustainable Engineering, will present at the upcoming ASHRAE Winter Conference on January 30, 2013. He will discuss how elevator movement, elevator door sequencing, wind pressure and HVAC system pressure can impact the elevator shaft pressure measurements in supertall buildings. The presentation will provide actual measurements of these factors in an attempt to understand the differing magnitude of the forces and suggest potential mitigation measures.
