On March 19th, Luke Leung, SOM Director of Sustainable Design, and Dawveed Scully, Senior Urban Designer, will speak at a PechaKucha Night hosted at the Chicago Architecture Center. During the course of the evening, a series of presenters will speak on a variety of topics, using only 20 slides for 20 seconds each. Leung will present "Towards a Post Carbon U.S., and Twice as Efficient," and Scully will present "Collaborating to Design the Just City."
PechaKucha is a presentation format created by architects in Tokyo in 2003. Today, PechaKucha Nights are hosted regularly in cities around the world, featuring creatives from across a variety of disciplines. The presentations are designed to uncover unexpected talent and new ideas, and explore a variety of topics including projects, personal experiences, and more.
