On September 19, the Illinois chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID-IL) presented 14 Design Excellence Awards in the areas of contract, residential, and product design. Jaime Velez, SOM Director of Interior Design, accepted two awards: “Best of Contract Design” and “Best of Product Design.”
The 10th annual awards gala was held in the historic Chicago Stock Exchange Trading Room at the Art Institute of Chicago. The program included a cocktail and networking reception, followed by a formal dinner. ASID national president Barbara Marini was the evening’s guest of honor.
