Before the green roof was applied to everything from boarding schools to fast food restaurants, and the modern class of flora-covered skyscrapers started to rise, there was the Weyerhaeuser campus in Federal Way, Washington. ... According to the Puget Sound Business Journal, Weyerhaeuser will be selling off the space—which was recognized by the AIA in 1972 and later in 2001 as a "milestone project"—when it moves into its new HQ in Seattle's Pioneer Square.
