SOM Director Derek A.R. Moore will lead a session at the 2016 Airport Planning, Design and Construction Symposium on Wednesday, March 2nd. Jointly organized by the Airport Consultants Council and the American Association of Airport Executives, the event brings together airport authorities, planners, designers, engineers, contractors, and manufacturers. This year's edition takes place on March 2-4 in Salt Lake City.
Moore will moderate a session on the design of international terminals, focusing on what the United States can learn from terminals in other regions. Recognized as an industry expert, Moore specializes in the strategic planning, architectural layout, and spatial design of airport terminals and other transportation facilities. He has contributed to airport projects around the world, including SOM's recently completed Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport Terminal 2 in Mumbai.
