Craig W. Hartman, Senior Consulting Design Partner, and Alessandro Beghini, Structural Engineering Associate in SOM's San Francisco office, will participate in a panel discussion at the Asian American Architects and Engineers' 39th annual dinner. The event takes place on Thursday, November 10th at the InterContinental Hotel in San Francisco.
The panel discussion, titled "How Technologies Have Benefited Our Profession and Life," will explore the innovations and advancements that are reshaping the architectural and engineering industries and people's lives. Hartman and Beghini will discuss new technologies that SOM has used in working on complex building designs throughout the world. They will be joined by Lior Ron, co-founder of Otto, a company making technology for self-driving trucks. The panel is moderated by Randy Iwasaki, the executive director of the Contra Costa County Transportation Authority and a former director for Caltrans.
