The Chicago Public Library, in conjunction with the Public Building Commission of Chicago, will celebrate the opening of its new Chinatown Branch on Saturday, August 29, 2015. The event will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony as well as family-friendly activities and cultural performances. Designed by SOM and Wight & Company, the library stands as a strong example of the positive impact that architecture and design can have on Chicago’s neighborhoods.
