The 2013 AIA National Healthcare Design Awards feature a dozen of the best healthcare designs, chosen by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Academy of Architecture for Health (AAH). The Healthcare Awards program highlights both building design and research into healthcare design. In addition to serving the basic functional requirements of hospitals, these winning projects also address issues of sustainability, social responsibility, and urban integration.
