$60-Million Renovation Underway at the Wells Fargo Center

Brookfield, the largest commercial office landlord in Downtown Los Angeles, has launched a $60-million renovation of the atrium at one of its trophy properties on Bunker Hill.

Halo, as the redesigned atrium will be called, sits beneath the two red granite towers of the Wells Fargo Center on Grand Avenue. It reforms a space that has been criticized for its closed-off configuration, which Brookfield cast as being out of line with the environment sought by modern office tenants. …

The Wells Fargo Center’s original architect SOM has been tapped to design Halo, which will feature double the seating of the old atrium. Other project components will include up to two full-service restaurants, an indoor-outdoor bar, a half dozen or more quick-service restaurants, grab-and-go vendors, fitness operators, and bike storage.
