On January 26, 2016, SOM Design Partner Roger Duffy delivered a lecture at the University of Toronto's John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design. Following an introduction by Dean Richard Sommer, Duffy spoke about the principles that guide SOM's work, and offered an in-depth look at five recent projects at various scales: the University Center at The New School, the Teaching and Learning Center at Barnard College, the Center for Character and Leadership Development at the United States Air Force Academy, Terminal 2 at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, and the All Aboard Florida MiamiCentral station. During a Q&A session following the lecture, Duffy elaborated on the role of creative research and experimentation at the heart of SOM's practice.
