Mark Regulinski joined SOM in 1979 and his management capabilities have ensured the successful implementation of a number of projects in the public and private sectors. He was named a managing partner in the New York office in 2000, relocated to London in 2001 to head up the management team, and returned to New York in 2005.
Mr. Regulinski has played a pivotal role in the development of SOM’s current Middle East practice. He served as the Chairman of the Middle East Committee from 2000-2005, and was instrumental in the project planning for the National Planning Development Strategies for the Kingdom of Bahrain. More recently, Mr. Regulinski is managing the design effort for a new headquarters complex for Qatar Petroleum in Doha.
Other current projects include U.S. Embassies in Rangoon, Myanmar, Lomé, Togo, and Accra, Ghana; a campus expansion project for the National Defense University at Fort McNair in Washington, DC; the new headquarters complex for the U.S. Census Bureau in Suitland, Maryland; and the new International Treaty Organization Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.
Mr. Regulinski received a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from Ohio State University, and a Master of Architecture degree from Columbia University. He is a registered architect in the state of New York, and a member of the American Institute of Architects.
