Using materials that seem to be the source of light rather than a reflector, SOM designed the University Club Tower to take advantage of a remarkable site—a 100-foot bluff overlooking the Milwaukee Art Museum and Lake Michigan. The design plays off the unique quality of light along the lake involving the confluence of water and sky.
