Local context and company history shaped the scheme of this mixed-use project. TIPCO is a produce and export company whose first commercial success was with pineapples. With its monolithic core and stylized skin of overlapping scales, the design appropriately references a section of a pineapple. Local materials and vernacular architectural elements are used throughout.
