Riverside South Master Plan
New York, New York
Situated along the Hudson River between 59th and 72nd Streets, Riverside South is a tract of nearly 55 acres of undeveloped land. The site formerly housed an extensive rail yard, and is still occupied by an active Amtrak line, a portion of the elevated West Side Highway, and inaccessible, dilapidated piers. The plan brings the city back to the river by extending the street grid westward and introducing a public park along the waterfront.
