The rhythms of jazz and blues provide a cultural context and design inspiration for Metropolis, a mixed-use, low-rise project in the Near South Side Chicago community of Bronzeville—the birthplace of the Chicago Blues. Metropolis is being designed as a pilot project, setting an example for how a mixed-use model can help create a revitalized, vibrant city center in a neighborhood that is currently neglected.
