This project establishes a new model for high-rise hospitality, responding to the tower’s sparkling design with a faceted glass canopy at the entry and express elevators leading to a triple-height sky lobby with an LED chandelier. Light-filled corridors are focused on spectacular views. In the guestrooms, folded walls resolve the perimeter’s diagonal columns with the vertical and horizontal surfaces of the center of the building. Sitting and sleeping areas are finished with a warm palette of wood, fabric, and leather, while sky viewing porches are lined with pearl-colored marble to catch the sun’s color.
