The design theme and major challenge for Kirchsteigfeld was to create a highly-livable, sustainable, and architecturally dynamic project within the context of a strict Master Plan and national building codes. These codes mandated everything from window sizes and energy efficiency to the requirement that living and dining rooms face south or southeast.
